PRESS RELEASE 21st August 2008 - Birch Tree Manor Care Centre Welcomes its First Residents

Birch Tree Manor is a brand new, purpose built care centre in the delightful village of Port Sunlight in The Wirral.

As part of the Ashbourne Senior Living group, the care centre provides nursing care for older adults who are experiencing physical frailty as well as providing specialist dementia care. Built to a demanding specification it has 62 comfortable, furnished bedrooms with their own en-suite wash rooms.

Considerable time and effort has gone into creating a special environment in which residents can really feel at home. The centre has four dining rooms and a variety of tastefully decorated lounges for the benefit of the residents and their guests. Birch Tree Manor is surrounded by landscaped gardens and has its own patio to ensure residents make the most of the summer months.

Hospitality is a major focus of Birch Tree Manor. The centre not only has its own personal laundry service and hairdressing salon it also provides daily newspapers, pampering services and is regularly visited by associated professionals such as chiropodists.

Activities are also an important part of the service on offer at Birch Tree Manor. The Manager, Anne Lewis recently welcomed its first residents into their new home with a number of events to help them settle in. The residents particularly enjoyed their afternoon of baking.

"There is very much a community feel in Port Sunlight" said Anne, "I am determined to make this much needed service part of that community. We are looking forward to welcoming residents to this wonderful new home."
