A warm welcome to the team at Life Style Care Portfolio

At the end of February Southern Cross Healthcare Group made another significant investment with the purchase of Life Style Care plc. This acquisition means that the Southern Cross Group now have 611 Care Centres in its portfolio with over 31,000 beds.

Founded in 1998, Life Style Care Portfolio has 23 quality care centres in its portfolio. Although predominately based in the South East of England, Lifestyle also had several homes in the Midlands and North of England.

The company provides residential and nursing care for the elderly with a range of different needs including Dementia. Some of these care centres also provide care for younger people with a physical disability. Self-contained units have been thoughtfully designed to support individuals who have medical conditions or have suffered accidents that have left them wheelchair bound or otherwise disabled.

As the photographs show, the Lifestyle Care Centres are designed to a high specification with an obvious benefit for the service users.

The company’s approach to care is also very similar to that of Southern Cross which has made the integration of the Care Centres into the group relatively straight forward. The bulk of the Care Centres will be transferred to the Southern Cross Brand.
